Stayed for 3 nights in a private onsen room. Hotel was a 10min car ride from Ogoto Onsen station and they are very thoughtful to provide free shuttle service anytime from station to hotel. We used the payphone outside the station to call the hotel once and weren't charged for less than 1 min talk. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and courteous.

Biwako Ryokusuitei. Ogoto Onsen, Otsu. Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Really loved the dinner and breakfast options. Nightly happy hour with free ice cream and snacks was a nice touch for the guest:) The daily biscuits and top up of hot and cold water in our room.
